Even Though….2020
The Lord is (my protector, my caregiver, my provider, the lover of my soul) my shepherd, so I shall not want (or need anything that is of real value because it is all found in him.) He makes me lie down (and rest) in green pastures (of blessing). He leads me beside still waters, (to rest and contemplate and listen to him). He restores my soul. (He encourages my heart and draws me to him). He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name sake. (Thank you Lord for all these things and ministering to me and through me!) Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, (evil) I will not fear evil. (Psalm 27:1-3 “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When evil doers attack me to destroy me, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. (Even) Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; (even) though war arise against me, yet, I will be confident.) For you are with me; your rod and your staff, (your Word, worship and prayer) they comfort me. You prepare a table before me, in the presence of my enemies! (You feed me, cause me to grow, mature and strengthen me and meet my needs, even in the midst of the battle!) You anoint my head with oil. (claim me as your own and consecrate my life). My cup overflows! (Even in the valley!) Surely, (because of you) goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and (the best part) I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever!
