“Eat the Word”
“Your words were found and I ate them. Your word became to me a joy and the delight of my heart. For I am called by your name, Oh Lord God Almighty.” Jeremiah 15:16
Don’t just read the Word of God. Eat it! Post it on your mirror and on your walls. Memorize it. Sing Psalms to the Lord in worship. Know Isaiah. Love Paul like a brother. Learn to pray like David. Squeeze the scriptures like fruit and drink in its bounty and inhale its fragrance. Devour it. Feast on it!
“How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth.” Psalm 119:103
Prayer: Lord give me a voracious appetite for your Word. Plant your words deep in my soul. Like David, I want to be a person after your own heart. “You have said, seek my face; my heart says to you, your face Lord do I seek.” (Psalm 27:8) Amen.
